Story of the first fish you caught, or the first time you knew you were "hooked" on fishing Fishing a local pond there was a Largemouth bass everyone knew as "Mr Big" and uncatchable. I pulled a spinnerbait over his head repeatadly until he finally had enough. I caught that fish to the surprise of every "senior statesman" that fished that lake. After lots of congartulations and pats on the back i knew i was hooked! I was eight years old and finally a Fisherman.
Tournament Placements? Hard to imagine but I'm just starting the tournament circuit here In Florida. First tournament entered was the KDW Classic. We came within 2lb of winning in the hotly conested Kingfish division - what a blast!
Favorite Bait/Lure Favorite Bait is a live Sardine in Florida, or a live Eel in New England. Favorite lure is and always has been the venerable Rapala minnow

Biggest fish you ALMOST caught... Trophy sized Striped bass in the sixty pound range. Pulled me out of my Cobra Kayak powered by Newport Vessels trolling motor!
What's one ritual you always go through when fishing? Deep breaths to calm the nerves and open the senses. Just the site and smell of water will get you in tune to the fish!
