The Perfect Battery for the NK180 HD
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
I've been using the Newport 24V 50Ah LoPRO LiFePO4 battery with my NK180 HD on my Old Town PDL 120, and it's been outstanding.
I fish mostly saltwater in bays and marshes, so having a battery I can count on is a big deal. It's compact, doesn't take up much room, and has more than enough power to keep me on the water for my trips. I never find myself worrying about running out of battery before I'm ready to head back.
I also like how lightweight it is compared to other batteries I've used. It makes loading and unloading the kayak a lot easier without sacrificing performance.
If you're looking for a dependable battery for the NK180 HD or any 24V setup, I definitely recommend the 24V 50Ah LoPRO. It's been reliable, efficient, and one of the best additions to my kayak.

LoPRO fully delivers!
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
The Newport Vessels LoPRO lithium battery is the real deal. Fast charging, ultra‑compact, and built like a tank. After a few trips putting it through the wringer, the waterproofing and toughness absolutely delivered. Total game changer for my setup. A must have for your NK180 or 300!!!

Well made but I feel like it's overpriced. Size and weight are great I just wish the cost was less.

Defective Battery Difficult warranty process. Still no replacement
Rating: 1 out of 5 stars
Battery has quit on me almost every time I used it over the past 3 months. Folks I spoke with at Newport agree it is a bad battery but no replacement has been sent and no info on when it will be sent.

Capacity as anticipated, I have somewhat tested the waterproofing :) and I've run these in parallel which gave plenty of grunt. In short, my next portable waterproof battery will be coming from Newport.

Excellent peace of gear!...
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Excellent peace of gear! My dealer called me and told me the prior models were sold out and asked if I wanted another brand or the LoPro - after watching a review I gave him the thumbs up to order the LoPro and Charger. We initially installed this under the seat of my PWR129, but I decided I wanted utilization of the junk draw - Nate Skinner of Festive Water Paddles sports came up with the idea of using a 16x16 Yakattack Blackpack as a "battery box", we did a through hull mount on the side, set the LoPro in the bottom, ran the cables through and bam- safe, secure, out of the weather and 3600 size tackle boxes still stack vertically. I love the blue tooth features, weight and functionality. First trip was 2 hours or so and had 98% batter left :)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
These things are very cool! The fact that you are able to stack them or store them in places you typically can’t is worth it. The plugs are nice and watertight and click on. Very lightweight lithium battery too.
