NT600 package is perfect for Jon Boats and small lakes!
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
The NT600 package did great on its first outing. It got my 16' Jon Boat with 4 people, fishing gear, etc. up to 8mph. We were on the water for 4.5 hours and the 70aH battery was still above 90%.

Game Changer
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
As an avid fisherman in Northern New Jersey, where I'm surrounded by excellent reservoirs, the NT600 has completely transformed my boating and fishing experience. It’s allowed me to use my boat to its full potential, making every trip on the water smoother, quieter, and far more efficient.
The motor has exceeded my expectations in every way. It delivers powerful, reliable performance that has genuinely improved how I approach my fishing days. Battery life is absolutely not a concern—I've had zero issues even on long outings. While I would have loved an optional remote controller, that’s a very minor wish and in no way detracts from how impressed I am with this unit.
Early in my ownership, I’m already delighted with the NT600 and would highly recommend it to any angler looking to upgrade their setup.

Worth it.
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
I like to think I pushed this motor really hard and it’s worth every penny. I live in a state where we have more reservoirs than lakes so electric motors are a must. The NT600 pushes my 14ft flat bottom that weights around 900-1000 pounds fulled weighed down and can go 5MPH. I would 100% buy another one just to be able to run a dual set-up.

Great motor and very intuitive. Screen was hard to see in sunlight though. I love anderson plugs and use them on a lot of things but in this application a different variation needs to be used. I took the motor and 48v lopro out for the first time. The plugs got got wet with salt water and motor kept working just fine. I rinsed everything off when I got home but when I unplugged cables next morning they fell apart in my hands. Chemical reaction from salt water and electric current ruined plugs and took nickel coating off one of the leads.

Joy To Use, Electric Is A Trade-off, But Worth It.
Rating: 5 out of 5 stars
Bought the NT600 through tinyboatnation.net. I have about 40 hours on the water with the NT600. I use it on my SeaEagle FastCat14. I have taken it out on several fishing lakes around Central KY, as well as the Kentucky River. I get 7.5 mph in real conditions with wind and current on real water with gear, me, and 100lbs of battery(more on the battery below). But, the FastCat is a displacement hull, inflatable catamaran style boat, so more "normal" boat would probably go faster. It has replaced by WaterSnake 70lb thrust transom mounted trolling motor (I get 4mph with it, and only need 12V, and fish all day). The main reasons I got the NT600: 1) instant torque when I am on the river and come up on something that I want to avoid, 2) be able to go against wind and current better than my 70lb thrust trolling motor, and 3) I like the quiet and maintenance free concept of an electric outboard.
The NT600 has worked flawlessly. It is well-built, easy to use. Documentation is excellent. Yes, the screen is hard to read in full sun, and the screen is hard to read if you have the tiller angled up. It is what it is. If you have the tiller up, and want to read the screen, just pop it down then pop it back up. The constant beep is annoying when the motor cutoff magnet fob is removed. To solve this, I added a disconnect to my battery. It is
Some advice about the battery.
The price of the Newport LoPro 70Ah is a bit steep. I chose to roll my own with 4 12V 100 Ah LIFEPO4 batteries, ...
