NK300HD has upped my fishing!

I’ve been extremely happy with my Newport NK300HD. It has plenty of power, runs efficiently, and has been a great fit for my kayak fishing setup. The motor performs exactly as I’d hoped and gives me the confidence and range I want when I’m out on the water. Just as impressive has been the customer service from Newport. Cody and Randy have both been fantastic to work with—knowledgeable, responsive, friendly, and always willing to answer questions. You can tell they know their products and genuinely care about their customers. Between the performance of the NK300HD and the quality of Newport’s support team, I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Five stars all around, and I’d confidently recommend Newport to any kayak angler.

Battery Great. Battery App working better after starting glitches

The battery is working great. It runs longer than I expected with my NT300 so I will likely have more than enough capacity for all the things I would like to do with my RIB. Mostly, this is for shore access in a boat that I can lift on and off of the beach. The battery app, however, had problems and would show all 0s for everything after selecting the battery to connect to. It would take many tries or many killings and restart of the app to get it to work on a Samsung phone. A new download of the app is better and with limited tests, seems to connect within about 8 second. So, note that there can be a bit of a delay. I find it very useful to see the BMS state of charge to know how many Ahrs are left to use as a gas tank (coulomb tank). Also note that, a password is needed to see the detailed information. Jack the AI didn't know what it was, but I was able to talk with a human to get it. All the cells in the battery are balanced to less than 1 mv so that's a good start for the new battery and this will allow me to better see the problem if there should be any battery issues in the future.

Glad I spoke to Newport and went with the 300HD. Great motor setup with the low profile 36V 50AH battery. First motor, first few outings were to dial it in, but have now fished over 20 miles of river. Cannot recommend this setup enough.

I've been extremely impressed with the Newport NK300. Installation was straightforward, and the motor is incredibly quiet, smooth, and powerful. It has more than enough thrust to move my fully rigged kayak while still being very efficient on battery life.

I like this motor it's a good motor I just don't like how the mounting bracket & the handle that lifts the motor up broke literally a few days of owning it. Instead of making these pieces plastic they need to be metal to actually last.

Newport battery is an excellent upgrade for any kayak setup.

I recently used a Newport lithium battery to power my kayak’s trolling motor and the experience was excellent. The biggest advantage is its lightweight design. Compared to traditional lead-acid batteries, the lithium battery was much easier to carry, install, and transport to and from the water.
The battery provided consistent power throughout the day without any noticeable drop in performance. Even after several hours of use, there was plenty of charge remaining. The fast charging time was another major benefit, allowing me to get back on the water quickly.
