this is the by far the best connector to have when you need to remover either your TM or your battery from you Kayak or boat! Super easy installation and easy to plug and unplug! I highly recommend this connector!

Works, but…

It was very considerate for Newport to include a wrench and Allen key to complete installation, but I wish they had spent that money on captive nuts for the cover. The cover (which prevents “something” from creating a short circuit across the exposed wires) is held in place by tiny machine screws which are threaded into the plastic base. No captive nuts. Screws stripped the plastic with little effort. I’ll be redesigning the cover and 3D printing (with captive nuts). Other than that, the construction appears to be from quality parts.
