Good Spare Parts- questionable advertising

Disappointed with my purchase experience. Obviously I own the motor and spare parts is a limited but profitable market. Ad said “Eligible for free shipping “ but I was charged $9.88. Customerservice replied I needed to have a $75 minimum for free shipping. I wrote back that was nowhere in the ad or check out. They did not reply to me at all. The shipping was almost as much is the part. At a minimum they should have offered lower cost or no cost shipping if it was not a rush. And $10 option for quick delivery.

Great trolling motor for the price

The motor appears to work fine. However when the new motor came out of the box there was no prop nut included with the propeller hardware. Customer service was easy to reach. Instead of just offering to send a prop nut they wanted to know the condition of the part (presumably new) and they required that I send them a copy of the purchase invoice. Eventually I found the purchase invoice and emailed Newport Vessels a copy. Upon receipt of my email they responded promptly stating that they would notify me when the part shipped. After a few days I received a package containing a complete set of the propeller hardware. This time the nut was included with the other items. I did not give the transaction five stars because I felt Newport could have moved more quickly to supply the .25 cent part that was necessary to install the prop on the motor.

Item shipped quickly and was as described. I needed a new pin that dropped into the lake when I took off the prop when my line got caught up in the motor... Now, I have an extra set of hardware to keep in my tacklebox for fututre emergencies (see photo). Very happy with Newport Vessels!

I lost my tiny drive pin for the motor, and purchased those for replacement and spare parts. Shipping is very fast. But I would suggest to list those parts on the Amazon store as well, so we could save some shipping cost.
