      Customer service was great

      Customer service was able to resolve . My warranty claim. Due to the motor was not functioning properly. The first try was replacing the hand control. Motor still had the same issue. So they sent me a new motor free of charge. Didn't even have to send the old one back. I'll be using that as spare parts. The issue I found out was the speed control inside the motor housing which submerge in epoxy went bad. Unfixable. Having the new one they sent was great.

      Powerful, great price, durable

      I've had this motor for two years, and it has held up quite well after very heavy use. I've been using trolling motors for over 25 years in my guide business, and compared to the competition, this motor is more affordable, and has been the best in this class from a durability standpoint. When running, the motor is very quiet, which helps get me close to very spooky spring creek fish. Because stealth is key for me, the only complaint I have with this particular motor is that it is quite "squeaky" for some reason when steering and raising/lowering, which is remedied with some WD-40.

      My New Newport Trolling Motor

      I Have not used it at the moment, But I can a sure you that it is a great motor because I have one on my sons boat, I had to get one for myself.. I ordered this one and the order was perfect, it came on time, package perfect.       New 55 Newport Trolling motor.

      I have had two before and they have worked well Just don't stand up to salt spray. rinsed my new last year model but when I took it out of my winter shed all the lights were dead and the motor would not start at all. All electric board wires were corroded off. So, I bought a new one that has been downgraded from copper wire to something else. I hope the new one stands up better.
