Great Warranty Service

My motor worked great until it didn’t. Wrote Newport and they decided to replace my 1 year old motor with a brand new motor free of charge. Got the new motor 10 days after I filed my warranty claim.

I would’ve given this review 5 stars as the return process was quick and straightforward, as a slight negative it’s suggested you replace the speed switch prior to starting the return process. I’m my case it was $30 with shipping for some thing I clearly didn’t need and not worth returning…

A company that backs up their product

A little over a year ago I purchased the X Series 55lb trolling motor, loved it until it stopped working on me. I shelfed it till recently and tore it apart, the motor seal failled and the motor compartment filled with water. I sent pictures and within 24hrs I was responded to with a shipment of a new motor. Great SERVICE! What I love about this over the endura: Handle is designed with a flat area giving you information by the shape at where you are in the speed selection by feel. The endura is the same shape all the way around the handle. Tilting head, endura does not have it. Included 60amp breaker, endura I had to buy one. Large 3 bladed prop (more force), endura a smaller two blade prop. Note that the batter meter works with lead acid batteries and is not useful for lithium Ion battery. I prefer the Newport over the Endura, hope I have a better run with this motor. My video review is on this link: https://youtu.be/bH2ZP9aPG4w I hope this helps those considering this motor.

This trolling motor is excellent. Lots of power for my Tracker 1236 Jon boat. With to big guys a casting deck and lots of gear. Moved us along at 6.8mph With all the adjustable flexibility on this motor you can really get comfortable while using it over several hours in a day. Compared to other trolling motors that I have used. It also used very little of the battery power that was available. Couldn’t be any happier.

Fantastic!

I own the 40lb and 55lb in the XSeries. I use them both in saltwater only, down in the flats of central Florida. Probably the harshest conditions you can put an electric motor through. The both perform fantastically, reliable and customer service was a pleasure to work with when I did have an issue with my 55lb. Took care of my issue and had it back on the water within a week. Keep it up Newport!!

My X Series - Electric Trolling Motor failed after a few months of use. I was expecting a hassle when I tried to get it fixed or replaced. To my surprise, I got through to Support right away. With in two days, Kipp sent me a new speed switch which we thought was the problem. When I reported that the switch didn't fix the problem, Sierra and Kayleen processed my warranty claim and sent me a new motor within a week.
