If you have a dead zone or a lack of thrust with your NK180, you may be able to recalibrate your controller.
- If you have a serial number below serial number 20210320001, your controller can't be recalibrated. Please file a warranty claim here for a replacement unit.
- If your serial number is above serial number 20210320001, please see the steps below to recalibrate.
1. Connect the NK180 to a battery source and plugin speed controller.
2. DO NOT attach the magnet emergency stop key to the remote.
3. The remote controller LED display will show 3 dashes in each category (Battery voltage, throttle percentage, and power input display). Start by putting the throttle to 100%, press and hold the "MODE" button. After a second, 3 dashes should appear on the screen.
4. Move the throttle into the complete forward position (full throttle).
5. Firmly press and hold the “MODE” button down until the screen display goes blank and shows. ONLY 3 dashed lines on the top of the screen display

6. Once the 3 dashes appear on the screen, release the hold on the “MODE” button.
7. Change the position of the throttle handle. Position the handle all the way down.
8. Firmly press the “MODE” button once on the LED display and release. Once the “MODE” button is released, a set of 2 dashes on the screen will appear after one second.

9. Move the throttle to the center position.
10. Press the “MODE” button one time and release. Once the “MODE” button is released, 3 dashes will appear on the bottom end of the LED screen.

11. Change the position of the throttle to the most forward position one more time.
12. Click the “MODE” button once and release. Three dash sets should disappear, and the LED screens will have 3 sets of the number 8.

13. Leave the throttle in the forward position and click the “MODE” button one more time. Release the “MODE” button, and the screen will change its appearance to three sets of dashed lines. Leave the throttle in the forward position and click the “MODE” button one more time. Release the “MODE” button, and the screen will change its appearance to three sets of dashed lines.

14. The calibration will be complete, and the screen will go blank. The speed controller is now calibrated with throttle percentages from 0%-100%.
