The NK180PRO scoots my fully rigged Oldtown PDL106. Unreal speed for a vessel that isn’t known for it. This is gonna take my tournament fishing to new Heights!

When To Replace A Propeller?

Propeller Parts

Propellers

Newport carries two sizes of propellers, small and large. To determine what size propeller you need, go to your trolling motor product page and look at the ‘Description’ or look at the links below. Please note that the necessary hardware is included when you purchase a propeller: pin, washer, and nut.

  • 2 Blade Small: Designed for the 36lb, 40lb, & 46lb thrust Newport electric trolling motors (All Series)
  • 3 Blade Small: Designed for the 40lb & 46lb thrust Newport electric trolling motors (All Series).
    - NOTE: This can also fit the 36lb thrust motors, but you may experience decreased performance.
  • 2 Blade Large: Designed for the 55lb, 62lb, & 86lb thrust Newport electric trolling motors (All Series)
  • 3 Blade Large: Designed for the 55lb, 62lb, & 86lb thrust Newport electric trolling motors (All Series)

Propeller Maintenance

We recommend inspecting your trolling motor after every use to ensure no debris lodged in or around the propeller. When weeds get stuck in and around the propeller, the motor responds by pulling more power from the battery. This can cause a major decrease in the efficiency of the motor or the circuit breaker to trip.

When to Replace a Propeller?

If you notice your propeller has a chip, crack, vibrates, or shakes while it is in use, purchase a new propeller so you can get back on the water! To extend your propeller's life, be sure to watch for rocks and other objects in the water that might damage it.

Propeller Parts

Propellers can be worked pretty hard. There are a few assembly parts that might wear out or become damaged during use. The Zinc anode can corrode over time, and the propeller Drive-Pins can bend under pressure or when stalled. If you don't need an entire new propeller, you can purchase the parts below.
